About Us

Built By Critical Care Professionals For Critical Care Patients

PEEP Solutions LLC is a medical device company headquartered in Huntingdon, Tennessee. The company was founded by CEO Michael Jarrett to improve outcomes through practical respiratory innovation and safer ventilator workflows.

Clinical Focus

Problem And Solution

What Problem Are We Solving?

When a ventilator circuit is disconnected from the ventilator or patient, PEEP can rapidly fall to zero. This can cause de-recruitment, compromise gas exchange, and increase risk in mechanically ventilated patients.

  • Loss of PEEP from ventilator disconnections
  • Potential aerosolization of infectious airborne particles
  • ETT connection hub failure or dislodgement events

The PK Valve Solution

The PK Valve is designed to preserve positive pressure during anticipated disconnects, reduce de-recruitment risk, and support safer bedside and transport transitions.

  • First-of-its-kind PEEP retention design
  • Addresses practical ICU and transport workflow challenges
  • Designed to support patient safety and clinical consistency

Temporary portrait for Michael Jarrett

Michael Jarrett, MBA BS CRT

Chief Executive Officer / Inventor

Michael Jarrett is a respiratory therapist with more than 40 years of healthcare and critical care experience, including service as a retired critical care and flight paramedic. He has supported mechanically ventilated patients across ambulance, helicopter, and fixed-wing transport settings, as well as medical ICU, cardiovascular ICU, trauma/surgical ICU, and neurovascular ICU environments.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael observed repeated de-recruitment risk during ventilator disconnections and recognized the need for a safer, more consistent method of retaining PEEP. That insight led to the invention, design, and patenting of the PK Valve with a mission to improve outcomes and reduce ventilator days.
